In the landscapes of our homeland I stop, look and recognize the places where the battles took place and the history of modern Greece was written. Ordinary people, living in the mountains, in the villages, on the islands of this place, and others, expatriates, intellectuals, merchants, military, all, for centuries now, are connected and struggling, because they have in their minds nothing but "freedom and language" . We forget that only 200 years separate us from the revolution of 1821. Maybe because we come from a culture that makes us feel free even when we are under siege.
